I am interested in social justice and promoting intersectionality in our world, and I wish to write articles and stories to help boost marginalized communities and aid the world to understand them better. For my work, I want to be able to give a voice to those that aren't heard and are sometimes silenced, which I believe is the main aim and intent of the field of journalism.  

For the past year, I have been working as a journalist for the University of Portsmouth magazine conducting interviews, researching topics of interest as well as writing about recent pop culture and media events.

Not only that, but I also work as the event and pr coordinator for the university magazine, where I have managed social media posts regarding social events as well as managed, lead, and organized the said events.

Currently, I am representing my course as the course rep where I feedback to the leaders of my faculty and attend meetings regarding course updates and information. With these skills that I have learned through my extra-curriculum at university, I am prepared for whatever will be thrown at me

I have a very specific interest in folklore as well as myths after spending many summers in museums and reading classics such as Homer's works like the 'Odyssey' and 'Iliad'. Using my specific niches, and love for journalism has allowed me to write about subjects and areas that many people would not have given a second glance or thought about. I want to be able to share my interest and passion with the world
